Mark Matheson

Director - Modern Edge Physiotherapy

Mark is an APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and member of the Australian College of Physiotherapists. He completed his Master’s degree at La Trobe University and achieved titled status through a rigorous national assessment of advanced clinical expertise.

Dual-qualified as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Mark provides an integrated approach to treating musculoskeletal conditions. Alongside his clinical work at Modern Edge Physiotherapy, he is a lecturer at Charles Sturt University, keeping his practice aligned with current research and best practice.

Mark is currently completing a PhD at Monash University, focused on improving outcomes in primary healthcare. His work supports more effective, evidence-based care that directly benefits patient results.

He works closely with GPs, specialists, and allied health providers across Port Macquarie, taking a collaborative approach to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients.

Mark is a member of the Research in Practice Network (RIPN) and the Monash Musculoskeletal Research Unit (MMRU).
